Importations of building sand, crushed rock, gravel, peat and synthetic potting media must be accompanied by an Import Permit issued by the Department of Environmental Protection. Samples will be inspected by the Department of Environmental Protection before any of the above materials are released. (Refer to Agriculture (Control of Plant Disease and Pest) Regulations 1970)
