The Department of Parks has four designated campgrounds under its jurisdiction and they are:
Ferry Point Park
Higgs & Horseshoe Islands
Coney Island
Chaplin Bay
Camping season first Saturday in May to third Sunday in September annually and permitted over the major official government holidays.
Permits:
first come first serve basis
deposit fee is $100
other fees are $10 per night per site
fees must be paid at the time the site is booked
Conditions of Camping:
limited to residents of Bermuda
check out time is 4:00 pm
3 tents allowed per site not to exceed 12 feet x 15 feet including awnings
No open wood fires permitted
Cooking in tents is permitted
Maximum 8 people per site
Maximum stay in each campground is 6 weeks
Garbage bags are provided for each site
No branches or trees should be cut down or the ground excavated
Generators are not permitted
Dogs are permitted
Noise must be kept to a minimum
Department of Parks reserves the right to revoke and terminate any camping permit if the above terms and conditions or the Regulations are not adhered to.
